Pickleball in Clark, New Jersey

Clark has a year round municipal pickleball program centered at the Recreation Center on Westfield Avenue. Outdoor play runs through the warmer months, then indoor sessions carry the local schedule through winter. Clark Recreation uses season passes and TeamReach to organize court access, shared play, and schedule updates.

  The Recreation Center is the hub for Clark's indoor and outdoor pickleball program. Separate passes are sold for the indoor and outdoor seasons, with resident and nonresident registration available. Outdoor play generally runs from spring through fall. Badge hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to dusk. Weekend badge hours are 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to dusk. Private games are not permitted during peak hours, so these blocks are designed for players sharing the courts.

Indoor play runs during the colder months. Morning sessions are offered Monday, Tuesday, and Friday in two blocks, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Sunday evening play runs from 7:30 p.m. to about 10:00 p.m. Indoor capacity is limited through the season pass program.

New to the Game?

New players should begin with the Clark Recreation season pass that matches the time of year. After registration, players send their receipt to the program coordinator and receive access to TeamReach. That group carries court times and program updates, making it the practical entry point into local play.

Clark Recreation does not currently run a recurring introductory class. Players who want instruction before joining the shared sessions can arrange a lesson through the Coaches section. A few lessons on scoring, positioning, serving, and safe movement can make the first organized session much easier.

Open Play, Schedules and Passes

Clark's regular pickleball calendar is built around seasonal shared play instead of one time events. Outdoor peak hours bring members together from spring through fall. Indoor morning and Sunday evening sessions provide a reliable winter schedule.

TeamReach is used for court times, changes, and day to day coordination. Registered players receive the group information after sending their registration receipt to the program coordinator. This is the most useful place to follow organized local play once a pass has been purchased.

Guest and Visitor Information

Visitors planning more than a single outing can use the nonresident season pass. Register for the current indoor or outdoor season, send the receipt as directed, and join TeamReach for the active schedule. This route works well for extended stays because it provides access to the same organized information used by regular participants.

There is no published single visit drop in option. A short term visitor should not expect to arrive during badge hours and play without registering. Players who already hold a pass can use the shared peak periods to find games without arriving with a full group. Players bringing their own partners still need to follow the season pass and badge rules during designated hours.
